Civilian firearm manufacturers and retailers have come under increased scrutiny as 2019 saw almost one school shooting per week in the US. Investors are increasingly asking to remove gun manufacturers from their portfolios.
The gun manufacturers include:
- American Outdoor Brands (stock ticker: AOBC)
- National Presto Indus (NPK)
- Olin (OLN)
- Sturm Ruger & Co (RGR)
- Vista Outdoor (VSTO).
The gun retailers include:
- Big 5 Sporting Goods (BGFV)
- Dick’s Sporting Goods (DKS)
- Sportsman’s Warehouse (SPWH)
- Walmart (WMT).
It is worth noting that in 2018, Dick’s Sporting Goods stopped selling assault style rifles and to stop selling high-capacity magazines and firearms to people under the age of 21.
